Dear Administrator,
My wife went to US for the delivery of our child at 35 weeks.
She is staying at her sister's house.
She has been diagnosed to have high Blood pressure.
The doctor advised hospitalization for her delivery.
We are prepared for costs around 10,000 US DOLLARS as for a normal delivery.
Now, she requires hospitalization for atleast for a period of 2 weeks for regular monitoring for which the costs will be unbearable.
Now, my query is
1) Are their any Government hospitals in USA like in India where the treatment is free of cost or atleast at reasonable rate?
My wife is presently in Washington D.C ( We will be grateful if you can give any addressess of such hospitals in washington D.C area).
2) I have tried obtaining medical insurance for my wife, who is on visitor visa,
but all the insurance companies I have seen are not covering any pre-existing conditions like pregnancy. I have seen the replies of Mr Narendra Khatri on immihelp, which also convey the same message.
Is their any insurance to help over the above described situation.
