  • urgent- Inviting married sister on visitor visa?

    Hi,
I hope someone can guide me here. I want to invite one of my sister to US to help me here in taking care of my wife who is due this summer. My both sisters are married/working and have kids. I'm thinking about sending sponser docs for both of my sis, so atleast one can get visa and come here, my question is
    1. Is it okie if both of my sister go together for visa interview or they should go on different dates?
    2. Also, will it help if I send sponser doc for my jija ji as well and he also appear with my sister ( though only my sis needs to come here), just to make an impression that both are coming for travelling/visiting me, otherwise officers can ask why u want to visit alone, or something like that?

Also, if both of my sis should appear together, should I be sending one set of docs for them and support doc or two set??
and in case my sis and her husband needs to appear, will that be seperate or again one set of docs..

Please advice, it's urgent and I need to send docs within this week

    Thanks
    Gio

Visitor visa is for special visit purpose only. Baby care, job seekers won't qualify for visitor visa.

VisaChief001 ur post wasn't of any help, everyone knows visitor visa is not for baby care or business and they not going to tell that.

Can someone answer my questions or advice how to proceed?

        Inviting sister

        Hi,

        1. I think it is better if they go on different dates and even different months.

        2. I think it is good idea to have your brother in law and sister appearin for interview.

        3. You need to send 2 sets of documents.

        Hope this helps

        regards

If they go for interview on the same date, u need only one set of docs, otherwise u need to send 2 sets

              Thanks Dahlia,
Do u mean I can send one set for my sister and her husband?
              so basically
              1 affadavit of support
1 letter to inviting both of them
1 letter to consulate for both of them
1 set of copy of passport
1 set of employment letter and other bank statements etc

Also, any help about interview questions for such case "married sister and her husband" ?
My sister previously got refused 2 yrs back when she on her own with her husband trying to visit US for travelling and by mistake mentioned my name. This time I'm explicitly want to sponser them

              Dahlia or anyone??

yes, 1 each doc as far as they go together for interview. But u need separate DS 156 and DS 157 forms for each.

I guess u will get sample questions by searching this forum?
