  • visitor visa question

    Hi,
I have an appointment for my parents in February. I was working for the past 5 years on and off (so i dont have 3 continuous W2 tax forms). But became a full time employee very recently - so i can get a letter from my employer about my job and salary.
My husband sponsered for my parents earlier visit - in 2002. He changed jobs recently - 1 month before. But he has continuous pay checks . So can he sponser for my parents and get letter from his new company that he is employed ?
    will it be a problem?

my second question is - I dont have much balance in my savings/checkings account but i have money in my IRA. so will that be ok ?

    Thanks

If ur Husband is working then he can sponsor ur parents. No issues.

Officer looks at the bank balance (sometimes they don't even look) to see whether you can afford the expenses or not. Having money in IRA is good, but (in my opnion) its good to have a bank balance of atleast $5000.

      Hi!

your husband can sponser that shud not be a problem.

If you alone don't have much saving show your hubby's bank details too. That would help.
