Urgent-help req:-Additional Documents asked in interview for Visitor Visa

Hi,
My parents went to delhi consulate on 4th Jan and my father was told to bring his bank savings passbook , 3 years tax returns and last month salary Slip.
What could be the reason of asking this?.
The sponsor documents were perfect.
All required documents for visitor visa were also there.
I am concerned about the tax returns....Will they have to be exactly as the income.
Has anyone seen a similar situation and got approved.
What did they do..
Kindly let me know..

Also what kind of savings they expect in savings passbook.
The Visa officer had sponsor's I134....
the Visa officer did not see any documents.
He Just asked..Where u work etc...

Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

Hi!
Since you are sponsering then you do not have to really worry or be concerned abt your dad's savings. Also it is definately good to match the annual incoem to the taxes paid.
