Emergent Visa Appointment Date

I am a Professor working n National Institute of Technology(Deemed University)Kurukshetra,Haryana State.I am also a senior citizen(+60) and have received an invitation from a scientific society in USA to present a research paper in the Symposium they are arranging in San Diego, with effect from 26th Feb to 2nd March 2006.The Invitation Letter is with me.On checking the slot for Visa Appointment, I found that no date is available prior to March 2006 and hence I feel helpless. Can you help getting an emergency appointment?If yes, I would be interested.Pl let me know the service charges and also the type of visa,if available.

Which Consulate are you trying to get the appointment at? You yourself can apply for a emergency appointment. You could state that you were aware of conference just recent and need an emergency appt to make it there on time.

Emergent Visa Appointment Date

I am to apply to US Consulate Delhi. I am in a fix as there is no slot available during Feb for visa interview appointment .More so one has to deposit US 100$ the fee in advance whether visa is granted or not.I am afraid it may not work because of the no slot.As such then what should I do?

Emergency appointments are available on a day to day basis. Those have genuine reason and with HDFC receipt number may have a chance to get an early emergency appointment.

Go to the nearest VFS office and explain them the situation and see the available dates for the emergency appointment. Once you are comfortable with the dates, you can goto the HDFC bank and pay the fee and schedule the appointment.
