I was having difficulty using the VFS site; I was able to add one person and save the person's data; but when I started to add another family member to the site, it kicked me out with a 'server error' - some kind of asp.net error.

Should I add the two family members separately (it allowed me to)? If so, can I request appointment at the same time? I was afraid to click 'confirm appointment'.

Does anyone have the same experience?

Yes i got the same problem . I am calling VFS from last two days . They said they are aware of the problem as other customers are having the same problem and their developers are trying to fix it . I asked for timeline they said
today it should be OK ( last i called was yesterday) . But i tried it again as seems it is still not working . They have also suspended the estimate of curreny appointment availablity on their website .

I had the exact same problem myself, trying to add another family member to a saved application. does anyone have experience requesting and receiving concurrent (or back-to-back) appointments for two different applications (mother and son)?

Be patient. vfs system is updating and you will soon be able to check the avaliability.

The VFS really sucks, it always had problems right from the begining, never worked successfully. Their entire system suscks. Recently they had such a big mistake of over booking the appointments for the month of January. I'm wondering why US Consulate still have contract with them, may be they have bribed some official there
TT Services had been a really service provider though their service charges were little bit more (may Rs 150). The time is more precious than saving Rs. 150 and such a pain in the neck. They might have inexperice developers and getting the system developed for low prices, may be they had given contract to companies such as TCS

Over all this is kind of pain getting an appointment thru VFS, hope they resolve issues make their system stable and consitent
