Will My B2 visa will get scraped or cancelled if i apply for H4 visa

Hi Everyone,

I recently got married and i work here in India. So currently i have a 10 year multiple entry B2 Tourist Visa and dilemma i have is, if i apply for a H4 Visa will my B2 visa will get cancelled or can i hold Both visas.

Please provide some insight into this. If there is documentation i can go through to find this out as i don't wana lose my B2 Visa. So want to go through it properly.

Concurrently having a B1/B2 visa and a (J1, H1, H4, L1, L2) is allowed and legal - so your B1/B2 **should not** be cancelled if your H4 is approved, even if it is NOT approved.

Having said that - that is the GENERAL RULE. Due to the rampant fraud and abuse performed by indian citizens against the US visa process, I wouldn't be surprised if the consular officer "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" your existing B1/B2 visa after your H4 visa interview (either if granted or not).
