applied for a B2 visa while waiting interview date

Hi,
my US citizen husband petitioned for my children's residency a year ago. right now the step is waiting for the interview date.
they are 7 and 4 year old, and live with my ex husband in my home country.

do you think it's possible for them to apply for B2 visas and visit me here for just 2 weeks?
they just miss me so much and i myself am devastated too that i haven't seen them for more than a year.
they will travel with their my parents and my brother. then they'll go home and wait for the interview date again, i think 2 weeks now is enough for us to reconnect as a family.

did anyone here ever havethis experience? please share here

Since immigrant petitions have been filed for them, getting Visitor visas will be very difficult, if not impossible.

"To obtain B2 visa, one must show that he or she doesnt have any intention of staying in usa for good and your situation contradicts because they have pending petition. Also holding 2 visa types is not possible. I was once on your childrens position though. Maybe the consul would suggest that you visit them instead, rather than other way around."
