  • affidavit of property & assets for B2

I am filling for my Parents visitor’s visa & they are self-sponsoring.

My questions is that the affidavit of property & assets that they are getting prepared, should it on stamp paper or a chartered accountant’s letter head. Does it matter at all?

    Please help!!

They won't look at it so it doesn't really matter at all. In very exceptional circumstances, they might look at it for proof of financial support, in which case, chartered accountant is better.

They have got it done on Stamp paper & there interview is on August 6th , if it not that of a big a concern then the could present it on stamp paper itself. just want to make sure that EMBASSY will reject it?

Also I am getting a letter from a congressman from Pennsylvania, would it be helpful for them to get the visa?

thank you so much for your prompt reply.

They won't look at it, so probably not going to be helpful. There are some reports of activity after these congressman/senators' offices inquire about a status. However, I seriously doubt if a consular mission's decision is swayed by the letter. They just tend to get off their behinds and do the processing (applicable largely to complex h1b petitions and immigrant visas).

          See above.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
