  • Class C misdemeanour. Do I need B2 visa?

On a recent trip to Chicago in May I found myself arrested for disorderly conduct, breach of the peace. It was my own fault, too much alcohol. I hired a lawyer who went to court for me and the case was dismissed. After researching I found my offence was a class C misdemeanour. The question is will I need a B2 visa or can I still travel on my ESTA which expires in November.
I did call the embassy and was told the ESTA was fine, but after further looking into it online it looks like I am no longer eligible under the VWP.
I have no criminal convictions in the UK. Just got caught speeding many years ago and got 3 points. Any info would be most helpful

You should not face any issues getting your visa issued by the consulate. You can not use ESTA/VWP.
