Sponsoring visitor visa using foreign bank account statements

Hi,

I am an Indian national with J1 visa and want to apply for a visitor visa for my mother in India.

For sponsoring her USA visitor visa, can I only show my bank statements/letters from my savings bank accounts in India? I don’t want to use my US bank account details for sponsoring.

Please suggest.

Your mother can certainly apply. She only needs to show the evidence of available funds only if asked. It is her own situation such as her ties to home country that matter more. All you are doing is paying for her trip.
