Vistors_Visa - Extension question

Hi,

I am applying for B2 visa extension for my mother in law. Her current I 94 expires on Oct,20 2015. Suppose If she didn't
get a response ( approval /Denial) before her I-94 expires then she is planning to go back to India on Oct 18th.
My question is do her B2 visa status will become void if I receive her visa extension response as denied after she
left USA on Oct 18th ??

As long as she leaves USA before the expiry of I 94 date you do not need to worry. She is fine. Only regret you will have is that if she is granted extension as requested by you but she had already left USA then you loose the money and she could not stay with you even though the extension is granted. It is better she leaves before the expiry of I 94 date.
