hi,
i am in US in h4 visa. my husband is in h1b.i want to bring my parents just for a visit.we cannot sponsor as we are uable to show the $10k balance.we are planning for self sponsoring by my parents.my father is a retired person. my mother is a house wife. so here are my questions.
1.what are the chances a retired person get this tourist visa?
2.if he can show bank balance that he can afford the trip,what is the procedure for my mother? is there anyway we can apply like family? what is the procedure?
3.how much bank balance he has to show? and how long he sould have maintained that bank balance? ex. 10 lakhs for 6 months ... or is it ok if we just trnsfer some amount just some days before visa application and show the bank balance?
4. can we show fixed deposits as bank balance to prove that he can afford to travel and take my mother also along with him?
