    All,
My mother is having an interview on Jan 19 (Thursday) at New Delhi Consulate.
As my wife is expecting a baby sometime in April.
Is this a good enough reason to say / write on the Application form.

Request you to provide any tips for the interview, I definetly want my Mom to be here before the baby's delivery.

Thanks & appreciate your help & support.

    rgds,
    Chander

I don't think expecting baby is a compelling reason for VISA approval. Its always argued (here in the forum) that 'baby sitting' shouldn't be mentioned. pls search this forum to get more details on this.

      Thanks for your response.

Trust me I am bit confused now. I did go through all of the previous posts and it looks like that it is sin to mention that one is going to help his/her son/daughter for baby's birth.

I do need my Parents to be here during the time my wife is due.

Can there be any other compelling reason for the VISA officer to issue the VISA?

      Thanks for your help!

The only thing we can do is to show strong ties back in India and the rest is luck.

Applicants, don't diminish your chances of getting visa by putting baby care etc.

Thanks Team, MY mom did not mention that she is visiting USA for helping/supporting baby's birth etc, but still she got rejected.

Can I get answers for these:
            - How do I know, what was the cause/reason for the rejection?
            - How soon can she re-apply?

I wish if she can be here in April.

            Thanks & Appreciate your help!
