  • Doubt in DS-156 form -very Urgent

    Hi,
My mom is planning to come here and stay for few months. I have a doubt in filling up question no. 37 of the form DS-156 .
    The question is :

    37. Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., or Do They Have U.S. Legal Permanent Residence or U.S. Citizenship?
Mark YES or NO and indicate that person's status in the U.S. (i.e., U.S. legal permanent resident, U.S. citizen, visiting, studying, working, etc.).

They have to select Daughter from the option(I did not mention the options) and there is a small box where my status have to be entered. Right now I am in EAD and my I-485 is pending. What should I give as my status?
    PLease advise? Need urgently.

    Thank You
    Deepa

      hi

you need to say "working" or "I-485", because any way when the Co see your sponsorship papers they will review your passport copy and know that ur on i 485 stage,

      Not legal advice!

U can say AOS (adjustment of status) as well. Make sure you tell your parents what all this means and what stage u are in.
