  • Chances to get b2 after overstaying J1 by mistake

Hi, I recently ended my J1 program successfully and I'm trying to get
a B2 visa to visit my friends graduation in the united states during my college summer break period.
My issue is that yesterday I was looking to my files and documents on my student grantee portal and noticed that I had a updated DS 2019. Back when I was in the united states I didn't get an email(it may had been sent to my trash box) notifying me that my d/s 2019 had changed to the end of my AT (07/07/15). I had bought a long time a go, a flying ticket back home on August 15 thinking that it would be okay since my DS was saying august 31. I had no idea that I was overstaying my visa. What are my options? Im never intended to overstay my visa and violate any immigration law since I have all my family and also, a college degree to finish in my home country that I was already enrolled since the fist week of august. What should I do? What should I answer on DS 160? What are my chances to get B2? If I do get one, could cbp denied my entry with my new visa? After the grace period, I overstayed by 9 days.

    Anything would help. Thanks!
