  • Visa Rejected

    Hi

My parents visa was rejected at Chennai. They were asked only one question - How many children do you have in USA? My parents replied two. They just rejected the visa, my mom was quick and said that she has a daughter in India, but the officer replied that my sister was married.

I am planning to apply again. As I am sponsoring the visa, can I remove my brothers status in the application form. I have a green card and he has a H1.
I mentoined his status the first time. Is there a record of previous applications ? Can they track ?

    Thanks a bunch

My parents got their appontment through TTS and they never submitted any application data electronically (like through VFS). I am wonderinng how they can track some of the details on the application like no. of kids in U.S (Q. No 37 on DS-156), sponsor name etc., Do they scan the paper application and keep it for tracking or they enter any data during the interview in the co mputer? Please share your thougts.

Another question, will there be any chance of getting visa for my parents in the second attempt if they say that they are going to bare the expenses by themselves? Pls advise.

        Hi!

        Hi!
I think it is just a matter of luck and how they present it there. I know many who have got the visa in the secod try without any changes to their case. Just present it in such a way that they show that they have all plans of returning back to India. They may have the intention to return but it is important to demonstrate it to the officer too.

Keep trying. Consulates do have scan system. Always tell the truth.
Self sponsoring does not enhance anyone's chances.
