Hi All,
Many thanks to the website. I followed all the steps mentioned in this website. It was very helpfull.
My In-Laws got visitor visa today. Not sure how many years.
Question: Passport delivery address is wrong and mistyped house number is there. When MIL told while giving the draft for visa they did not accepted it. What to do? I sent a mail to VFS. Any one had this issue? How did you resolve it???
Please help me in this regards.

If you set up your delivery through TTS or bluedart ( c/o vfs) contact their office immediately before they actually sent it and explain your situation

Confusion

Thanks for your suggestion.
I called blue dart but they gave another # but no response in that #. I sent mails to VFS and consulate but I got response from TTS visa service (though I took appointment from VFS) that I need to fax letter. I did it. I am not sure how to proceed. It is been three days. I do not have tracking number also to track. Please let me know if anyone of you had the same situation and how to resolve it. Any help is appriciated.

Hi!

If you have taken the appt through VFS then don't think that TTS will be able to help you.

Catch hold of VFS and get to either fax your request. Also have heard that with VFS you will be able to track the passport.

If the error on the address is just the door # then why not contact the person at that place(if it exists) to call you when the courirer guys comes for delivery OR ask them to redirect the courier guy to your place. Also with TTS my mom was asked to show a photo id and ONLY then gave the passport so ask your in laws to have one ready (may or may not be asked....if asked you would be prepared right).

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to contact VFS like anything. I am not able to. Always get busy. I contacted Blur Dart. They say shipper should change the address. I am well experienced the way things works in India. It is not like US...
I asked my MIL to goto Blue Dart tomorrow. Lets see... I will update if things happen. Thanks for your sugestions...

Visa tracking in VFS gives below message and not giving any info. VFS website sucks...

"Your passport can be collected in person at US visa application centre in Chennai between 1400-1600 hours.
Kindly produce your HDFC fee receipt and interview appointment letter at the time of collecting your passport.
If your passport is not collected by 1600 hrs, it will be automatically dispatched to you by courier."
