VFS Question

Hi ,
Thanks for this wonderful website.
I want to send the visa application for my in-laws.
I have few questions:

1. Till 2004, we could drop the application to VFS office at Nagpur. Now when i saw the adress on DS-156, it says we need to courier it to Mumbai.
Does it mean we need to personally courier it or send it via VFS Nagpur?
If the visa is issued, then where do we pick the passport from?

2. In the VFS packet, we need to mail the sponser document. There is no guideline for exact what documents needs to be sent. I know the list of sponser documents that needs to be sent from this website. But was wondering what documents are good to send in the VFS Packet, before the interview.

There are slight changes in the procedure in different Consulates. Just follow the directions on the vfs website.

There is lot of confusion when it comes to Mumbai consulate and VFS. There are cases and i read from this forum about VFS taking different ducuments from the applicants. I will tell you my experience, I took online appointment in Nov sometime after getting HDFC reciept, my parents interview date is mid Feb.
I sent all the supporting documents to them, since they stay in Mumbai, I told them to go to VFS with all the docs(including visa issuance DD). Both the parents went there last week, only dad was allowed inside, and they took 156/157, copy of the passport, HDFC reciept and DD's. nothing else, they did not even see the supporting docs, and they told them to show up on the appointment day.

Yes I you can send your application to VFS mumbai. And for you information supporting documents are not required to be send with the application only to me taken at the time of interview even if it is mentioned in the checklist.

Hi,
Do I need to courier the application directly to VFS-Mumbai or Blue Dart - Nagpur can send it to VFS - Mumbai? I am confused because in 2004 I applied for my parents and sent the documents through Blue Dart Nagpur.
Can somebody please help me understand this?
