Boyfriend(sponsor) no bank statement. Doesnt put money in banks but in gold

I want to apply for a b2 visa and my boyfriend is my sponsor. He is american and we have been together for a year now and we live together. We just got into a problem where by my boyfriend is a poker player and he does not put money in the bank, all his money here and back home is in gold. The Embassy will need a bank statement and we do not know what to do. He is very rich and successful . Is there anyway to solve this?
