Hi.
I am starting a new thread for a unique class of B2 Visa applicants who have returned to India after a short or long stint in the US, are Indian Citizens, have quit work for a social cause and are now involved in such work for the past reasonable number of years in India, and are seeking a Visitor Visa to the US(B2) purely to show their kids their homeland(kids are USC)
I am requesting help from Experts, Experienced and Enthusiasts for answering the following questions in the online DS-160.
Present Work/Education/Training:
Primary Occupation: Should I use OTHER or UNEMPLOYED ?
If OTHER, specify what ?
If UNEMPLOYED, Explanation: Voluntary position of Trustee in Charitable Trust ?
• Present Employer or School Name/Address: Give detailed Trust address
• Monthly Salary in Local Currency: Should I put the monthly income we get from our investments ?
• Briefly describe your duties: It means your primary daily activity. Even if you don’t have a 9-5 job, try to list something here, which will help prove that this will attract you back once your vacation in the USA is over
Serve as Vice-Chairman of the Trust and related activities ?
Previous Work/Education/Training: Provide Employment Info for Last 5 years : I'm into this for the last 10 years, so do I reiterate the above info. I have documents showing my term as Trustee for last 8 years. ??
• Employer details
• Supervisor details
• Dates of attendance
• Briefly describe your duties
Additional Work/Education/Training: Have you belonged to, contributed to, worked for any Professional, Social or Charitable Organization in the past
List the Organizations: Charitable Trust Name ?
I have all the necessary official documentation from the Charity Commissioner stating my position in the Organization as well as the duties as per the Trust Constitution
I can provide photos of many activities(some showing me) happening bi-monthly in the Org
I am the Vice-Chairman. Do I need to put in a Leave application and approved by the Chairman(I don't think so)
What other documentation regarding my Work should I carry to the Interview.
Any and all Gyan on this is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
