no tax returns filed yet

hi all we came to us in april 2005 and so not yet filed any tax returns .just have this years w2 of this year.is any letter or written explanation required to be send to my parents whom my husband is sponsoring to be shown to the embassy incase the vo asks for it

No. Just send what you have. If u file ur tax before the interview date, send copies of that as well.

Hi!

When is the interview appointment date? If you have time good to file and send the docs. Don't wanna scare you.....but I know a case where they asked them to file taxes and come back for the interview even though there was still so much more time for the deadline to file taxes. If you don;t have time and it is too close let your folsk who go for teh interview be aware of it and let them know that when you will file taxes and why you don't have the previous year tax papers.

my parents have appointment on 14th feb....not yet planned when will we file the tax return ...if we do it close to 14th feb,, can fax of the papers work in embassy?

Hi!

I think it is too close. So go ahead an try without but let your parents be aware of it and prepare them with answer if asked at the Consulate.

Incase you file your taxes you don't have to fax it to the Embassy or Consulate you would have to send it to your parents. If asked only they will have to produce it.
