demand draft for vfs?

Sorry for asking minor question.

On VFS it says draft to be made in favor of

"US Embassy - Visa Fees”
“HDFC Bank a/c VFS”

while on immihelp it says


"HDFC Bank a/c US Embassy”
“HDFC Bank a/c VFS”

which is the one to use.

I have forgotten everything about drafts.
Can i get draft made from sbi.
Do i have to tell sbi which branch the draft will it be payable at or
just telling them that it is payable at HFDC bank is enough.

does sbi have to write somehwere on the draft HFC bank?
Also do I have to show the counterfoil to HDFC branch as suggested in immihelp. I will have to send draft to someone in delhi..so just wanted to know the details.

It looks like VFS changed it recently.

We have updated our web site.

You should make demand draft "payable at <CONSULAT CITY>" such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata.

Counterfoil is not mandatory. Just advisable.

Hi!

You will have to get the DD done only at certain HDFC banks.....I don't think you can get it done at SBI.
