Where do I send the Affidavit of Support documents I filled out for my in-laws? The official government instructions at USCIS do NOT give an address.
At their site, I find this instruction:
"Where you submit the form depends on whether the alien you are sponsoring is in or outside the United States and what type of application is being submitted. See the instructions provided with the corresponding application for detailed information on where to submit this affidavit of support."
However, I've looked at those instructions and they do NOT have an address of any sort or instruction. That document is here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/f...i-134instr.pdf
I have found one sentence on immihelp that says not to mail the document to an embassy or consulate, but instead give it to the people I am sponsoring (my in-laws) and have them take it to their appointment.
Could that possibly be right? Doesn't an immigration officer need time to review the documents?
Could someone here point me to a government document that says, "Send these to the people you are sponsoring"
I really appreciate any help you can give me.
