My parents in law have a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa. They are here on a visit from Sep 15, 2005 until Mar 15, 2006. They have been here before in Dec 2000 for 6 months. My wife is pregnant and I would like them to be here during the delivery.
    1) Can we ask them to go on Mar 15 and again come back in a month or so ?
    2) I don't want to extend their visa since they could have problems later
    3) Is there a limit or restriction on the # of times they can visit within a year or does there need to be a minimum time lapse between their visits.

    thanks

There is no minimum time laps. As long as they have a multiple entry valid visa they can come back anytime. But once the visitor extend his visa or overstayed there is no guarantee about an entry at POE. Younger people who never extended their visa if they come back to US quickly, the POE officer can deny their admission. In case of older people, if they stay in US more days than their orgin of country in any given year their admission can be denied too.
