B2 visa process together with H4 visa process

HI,
I am on H1B visa now and planning to file COS to H4 and EAD.
My parents have filed for B2 visa and the interview is on Dec 1st 2015 . can i file my COS like 9th Nov 2015 , i would have my COS H4 receipt but still have my H1 active when my parents appear for interview . Will this be a hurdle for my parents visa approval/stamping . Please advise on the best time to file for COS , EAD in this situation .
