  • US Visitor visa B2

    Hi all,

    Need your suggestion and guidance...
My parents are having visa interview in coming week at chennai...
While filling DS160 i have mention the Date of arrival to US as : 25 jan 2016 and Date of departure as : 25 May 2016.(5months) But actually my dad(Bank employee) is retiring in March 2016. So he will not be in US till May, he will return to india in March itself...
What should he say when interviewer asks him the date of departure from US...

When your parents go for the visa interview they can explain this to visa officer. Your father can show his retirement papers.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

Wont it be a problem when he says different departure date than in DS-160.
Is it okay if he says, he will complete the retirement process after coming to india in May.

There should not be any problem. He can say there is some change in plan.
