Hi!
I'm a naturalized US citizen born in India, with a relinquished / invalidated Indian passport. I understand that processing time for a (10 year) tourist visa is 8-10 days, usually longer.
I intend to give my application on Fri Nov 13th. I need it back by the morning of Mon Dec 1, which gives ~9 business days (because of closures on Guru Nanak's bday and Thanksgiving). Two questions:
1) How likely is it that they will be done by Dec 1?
2) If they are not done, can I still get my passport back? I need to travel out of country (not India) on Dec 1 night.
I know it's impossible to give certain answers, but anyone's own experiences may help me.
