Applying for B2 after having a valid H1B
Hi,
I have a valid H1 B visa, I traveled for work in 2014 but returned back to my home country after my work assignment(project) ended. I now want to travel to US purely for leisure and tourism, but my H1 B is still valid till next year.
1. Can I apply for a B2 Visa when my H1 B is still valid? Can both visas co-exist?
2. Will my H1 B get cancelled if I get a B2 visa?
Similar case with my husband:
He has a valid H4 visa, he travelled as my dependent in 2014 but returned back to our home country. He now wants to travel to US purely for leisure and tourism, but his H4 is still valid till next year.
1. Can he apply for a B2 Visa when my H4 is still valid? Can both visas co-exist?
2. Will my H4 get cancelled if he gets a B2 visa?
