Urgent Help - Parents visa

Hi,

My parents(both mom and dad) visa appointment is on Feb 10th in Chennai. I have sent all the required documents. My brother in Bangalore took the appointments for my parents, and when picking up the timings for each applicant, he got timings of 10.15 and 10.30 am.

1. I had read somewhere that if parents are going together, we need to take a single appointment to save the consulate officers time. What is it that I need to do now? Please advise.

2. If we need to have both of them go separately, how do they manage the documents? Do they have to carry to all the required documents in duplicate? I have sent one I-134 with both of their names in that. Do I have to send separate I-134 for each of them?

Please advise me asap as this is something urgently needed.

If you have taken separate timings, then there is nothing you can do about it. So let them go at different timings.
But you HAVE to give them TWO I-134 forms. Even if they are going together, each one should take one copy. If you Dad is going first, then his I-134 should have only his name. And in your mother's copy you need to include your fathers name, saying that you have already sponsored for this person.

I don't think you need two 134's if the appt is at the same time and date. But if interview is at different times then u need 2.

If they have got the same slot then you don't have to take 2 I 134 ONLY one is sufficient.
