  • Parents Visa - Grand Mother and Father fullname Urgent

    Hello,

I have got a appt. for May 15th through VFS. The DS 156 form asks for mothers fullname, fathers fullname for the applicant who is visitor.
When my parents verified, their parents names are indicated in the passport without a lastname. It includes only the first name.

However I went ahead and added the last name also in the form. And completed the appointment.

Now my worry is that if the fullname of mother and father of the applicant do not match that of the passport, would this cause any issues or rejection during the interview? Please clarify as if this is the case I would have to cancel and fix another appt. Or is there anyway to update the application once appointment is done?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

I don't think it would be a reason for rejection however if you are too concerned then may be you can either cancel and take a fresh appt OR get the last names added onto the passport

      Update

Thanks for the reply. What I attempted to do last night was go through the saved application for my parents and update the names. Surprisingly it did allow me to update and did not specify any clause to cancel or reschedule the appointment. Later I went in and tried to look at the download forms for a confirmed appointment - the download reflected my updates as well.

I am hoping it allowed this because it was less than 24 hours since the appt. was confirmed and we can print this out as is for the interview.
Please reply if I need to look out for anything else here or contact VFS. Thanks much.
