Hi there - My brother is in his early forties, is single, and currently doing freelance work in India (no tax filing last financial period as there was no income). I wanted him to come to the US for my wedding mid to late 2016. I'll be putting together all the stuff from my side - the invite and any related paperwork etc. (I've heard stories of married people getting tourist visas without problems, and single people getting denied)
My question is - Will his current unemployed status cause problems in getting a visa? (finances are not an issue) He has no interest in staying in the US after the wedding but I was not sure how young, single people in IT are viewed in terms of issuing a tourist visa. Are there any suggestions since we still have about 8-9 months before we file? Anything we can do to ensure everything is airtight?
Thanks a lot.
