  • B1/B2 for LPR Fiance

I am an LPR (3 yrs 10 mnths so far) and have a fiance in India who has never traveled abroad. I understand that the best option is to wait till I get my citizenship and then apply for a K1 or K3 (if married by then) etc. However, can she apply right now for a B1/B2 with my sponsorship (I can fill in a I-134) and expect to get a visitor visa so that at least she can come and visit me? What are her chances of getting it? Please advise. And if she does get rejected, does that create any issues for later when I file her K1 or K3?

If your fiance is young, it will be tough to get a Visitor Visa.
The best option would be to try for F1(student) or H1(Work).

Even if she gets rejected, it will not affect her Immigrant Visa application

She is in her mid-twenties and has a good job with an MNC for the past 3 years. What does age have to do with visa if I am sponsoring her? The question is, if I sponsor her being an LPR, does that automatically qualify her for rejection?

        Hi!

It does not automatically qualify for rejection......the young age at times poses problems such as potential immigrant. You can go ahead and try.

Can some more people respond please? I have heard many differing opinions on this and would like to get some consensus. Thanks.

Dont predict the result before you even apply.
