Spouse Last Name differences - Passport vs DS160

Hello All,

I am looking for some quick help with B2 Tourist Visa.

My mom's passport doesn't have my dad's full name in the Spouse column. It has only his first name.

However, DS-160 mandates the last name for spouse.

Most of the supporting documents that we prepared have my dad's full name.

I read a few topics and didn't get a clear idea still and hence asking this question. Is it ok to give the full name in DS-160 and leave my mom's passport as it is or is it needed to change in the passport?
Could someone please throw some light on this?

Your mother does not need to change anything in her passport.

She should specify her husband's full legal name wherever asked for.
