Returning to US 8 years after end of US education

Hi. I was a student in the US from 2001 to 2008 on F1 for bachelors and masters. Now I want to return for vacation on visitor visa. I believe it is advisable to carry my old I20s to the visa interview even for visitor visa? Can someone confirm this please.

What if I have lost most I20s? I have contacted the school but they do not have copies of my earlier I20s anymoe. Thanks
