My National ID Number has Expired (DS 160)

I have a question regarding the National ID Number in the DS-160 form. I am an Indonesian who has been living and working in Singapore for years. I am now applying for a non-immigrant US visa (type B). My Indonesian ID number has expired and I haven’t got a chance to update it yet. Should I just leave that section as “Does Not Apply”? How would it effect my application?

When you go for the interview visa officer may ask the same question. I would suggest you can apply for new id and provide that number in DS-160 form.
