Expired Pakistani passport but valid NICOP card, application procedure?

I am a US Citizen. My origin in Pakistani. My Pakistani passport has expired but I use National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) card to travel to Pakistan. I have heard that Pakistanis who also have a US Citizenship must apply to India on their Pakistani passport. Does that mean I will have to first renew my Pakistani passport? Or can I apply using US Passport and also provide NICOP card?

As per my understanding that's correct. You have to first renew your Pakistani passport. You can take legal advice also from an expert attorney.

You are right. I will have to either renew my Pakistani passport or I will have to renounce my Pakistani citizenship.
