B2 visa - appointment is available one month before of petition is expired

Hi All,

My Petition is getting expired on 31st May 2016 and extension will be applied soon. I have submitted DS 160 for my mother-in-law and paid the fee.. But for my bad luck, appointment is available only on April 29 th for interview in Tamil.

I have to bring my mother in law here for my spouse delivery time (August)

If I schedule the interview for her on April 29th is there any chances of getting rejected by saying my petition is getting expired on 31st May.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

As long as you have valid visa there should not be any problem. If needed at the interview time you send her the copy of your visa extension.
