I had an f-1 rejection in 2002 june but got the same approved in aug 2002.
I attended a university from 2002-2005 and got my mba degree in finance.
I started working for a company as a financial analyst in the year 2005 and had my h-1 b approved from the same company from 2005-2008 and 2008-2011. I even got my i-140 approved in the year 2007.
I decided to visit my parents in india in may 2010 for 2 weeks and then i booked an appointment at us consulate in new delhi for h-1b stamping. The visa officer asked me for w-2 forms and department of labor approval or something i dont remember. Since i didnt have those docs she returned my passport with 221g sheet and asked me to dropbox or courier the docs to the embassy.
I decided to join my fathers business and stay with them, so i never followed up with the consulate.
Now after 6 years i want to travel to usa with my wife and my daughter just for tourism purpose. While i was going through ds-160, i came across some questions i was a little confused about. So want to seek your expert guidance.
1. Have you ever been refused a visa ?
- should i include f-1 rejection and h-1b stamping refusal?
- what should i put in the explain section for h-1b stamping refusal?
2. Has anybody filed for an immigrant petition on your behalf with uscis?
- answer should be a yes as my i-140 was approved in 2007.
- what should i put in the explain in the box?
Waiting for a prompt reply..
Thanks
