  • Visiting Canada for 2 months and re-entering US on Visitor visa

    Hello,

My parents have multiple entry US Visitor visa. They are planning to come to US during May and will go to Canada to visit my brother during August. They have valid Canadian visitor visa. Can they come back to US in October and leave from here (US)? Will they get a new I-94 while re-entering the US in October? Will this be an issue since they are re-entering US within 6 months? Or is it better if they leave from Canada? I couldn't find any information in Canada/US visa sites since they talk about visiting Canada for less than 30 days (in this case, they'll have the same I-94).

Any guidance regarding this will be helpful.

    Thanks!

they can leave from the US, but must do so within the date on the original i94. Going to Canada does not get them a new i94.

Thanks for the response. Since they'll be staying in Canada for 60 days, I'd read on the forums they will not be able to re-enter US on the same I94.
      Please advise.
