B2 Visa for Mother - Need some basic info

Hi All,
I going to go for a L1 from my company. I would prefer to take my mother along, so what are the options for that?
1. Can I apply for her B2 visa with my offer letter or when I get the stamping done? OR
2. If the above is not possible, and I have to stay in US for sometime to sponsor her Visa, what is the minimum time before I can sponsor her? Can I apply for her immediately after I reach and have a residence?
3. The 2nd one could also require that my mother shows some property in her name, or some bank balance - what's the requirement?

go for 2nd option.

I would suggest wait for at least 6 months then she can come to USA on visitor visa.
