    US Embassy Holds Passport After Interview?

    I have a friend who went to a US embassy for a tourist visa. We weren't sure if she would get approved for the visa. After the interview they did not tell her if she got it or not. But said they would hold the passport and mail it back to her. What does this mean? What are the chances she got it?

    Most likely her visa approved.
