Are "Travel Companions" allowed to assist in filling out the DS-160?

I am helping my girlfriend reapply for a B1/B2 visa after the first application was refused under 214(b). Her English isn't fluent and it was much easier and more practical for me to explain the questions and help her fill it out. She has submitted another DS-160 two months later and on both forms she selected "yes" to the very final question asking if anyone assisted the applicant in filling out the form. After already submitting it, I saw on this website that has been very informative, "submitting the form on behalf of unrelated third parties is not allowed". For one thing, I did not submit the form on her behalf, she reviewed every question and signed and submitted the form herself. However, we are not related in blood, so I ask if this could be a problem? Under 'relationship of the preparer' I wrote "Travel Companion" which is true the first time, I wrote "Significant other and travel companion". Do you think this will be a problem and result in another refusal, in and of itself?

She could be asked about anything related to the ds160. Also, having a US boyfriend can be construed as a hurdle to a a tourist visa applicant.

I have read extensively about the risks of having a US boyfriend and reapplying. I am just asking if it is a red flag that a "travel companion" assisted in filling out the application. Thank you.
