  • applying for a B1/B2 visa from Canada under as a non-canadian resident

I think i know the answer but just want a confirmation from the Immihelp Community.

My mom is in Canada on a Parent superVisa, she arrived last december so she potentially can stay up to Dec 2017. She has applied and received a US Visa previously and visited the US in 2009-2010.

We want to apply for a visa at the US consulate as we are planning to go down south for the summer.

I know they recommend applying to the visa in your own country of residence. But it's kinda hard to planned 2 years ahead ... and furthermore they only give you 30 days from the date of issuance to enter the USA ...

Question is, what are the risk that she's being denied the US Visa/Chance to be given the US visa?

    Thanks

    SH

Most likely she will not have any issue for US visa because she is already having Super Visa. There is no harm to try.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

Out of curiosity, is that an existing rule?

Actually it is 90 days from the day of the visa issuance that you have to enter the US. I got that from my mom last US visa. It was a 2 entries visa only.
