Problem with return ticket

Hi everyone,

my dad's B2 visa gonna expired on April 19th. We would like to extend his stay to October. In order to submit the return ticket, the airline said I cannot buy the Oct ticket without the approved of visa stay. His old ticket was for Jan 8th and already passed. How should I do that? I really appreciate if anyone can advice on this.

Lots of things to consider. When did you came, when was his visa issued etc.

At any rate, its always better to go back, reapply for visa & come back with new visa.
