Pending criminal case

There is a pending dowry case against my parents and me in India .
Will it affect their getting a visitor visa?
Do they have to declare that there is a case pending ?

I know someone who is trying to hide the criminal charges and come to US on tourist visa to get away with those charges

An pending case is not an issue as long as you were not arrested & there is no judgement to call you guilty.

You are never treated guilty unless it is proved in the court.

In dowry case also, if you were arrested & visited jail, please mention it along that you are on bail & the judgement is still pending.

Will being out on a bail cause the visa to be rejected?
