I just had an interview yesterday and the officer there refused my applications. Her response was I did not qualify for a visa even though I am a Canadian permanent resident.
Her argument was she said why did I become a PR last month (although the fact is I became a PR on January) after I lived in Canada for 6 years (since 2009). She did not even bother to ask me for more proofs as I already prepared everything in advance and it will just go to the garbage now.
I do have my parents and siblings in the US with valid statuses. But it still does not make sense that I am a Canadian PR and have no reason to enter the US and stay there illegally. You know, why would I stay legally where I can stay legally in Canada and get all the Canadian benefits including free visits to hospitals?
Another thing is my wife is pregnant. But again, that should not be the issue since once again, why would I pay the hospital visit in the US where I can get it for free at home???
Any inputs for said interview and probably my next interview in a year after today is appreciated.
