I am planning to sponsor my parents and my brother for their US trip.can anyone tell me how much bank deposit needs to be shown to sponsor 3 people.I was just informed that the consulate has put forth a criteria of 7500$ per person, which would mean a whopping 23,500US $ for me.

Does this $5K/person needs to be shown in the bank balance ????

If the bank balance is less based on this formula, will the other assets like stock value, personal property value, house value which are also specified in the I-134 be taken into account ?

They also look at the average bank balance not only last statement.

Putting younger applicant with parent will hamper their chances in getting a visa.
