  • 6 month non-usage expiration

Does the tourist visa (multiple entry for 10 years) expire if not used within six months of the issue date?

IN other words, if I've been issued a US tourist multiple-entry visa, do I have to travel to the US within a stipulated period (say 6 months or a year), in order to ensure that the visa does not automatically expire before its duration?

This is not true. When you have a multiple entry visa for 10 years, you can enter the US anytime as long as the visa is valid.

I just want to clarify that I'm talking about the first time usage. Someone told me the other day that the multiple entry visa HAS to be used once within six months of the issue date.
