Can the visitor to Singapore apply US visa.

My parents are in Singapore for the last two months visiting my brother. Can they apply for US visa from there.

My Mom tried from Australia (visiting my sister there) and was rejected and asked to apply in Chennai. As she is there for a few more months I am wondering if a second try would help?

It is best to apply from the country of residence. If you are visiting some other country and are applying for a US visa (in the visiting country), the chances are they may not grant a visa. Good luck.

Do not shortcut the system. Current Visitors of another country applying tourist visa from there to US will be asked to go back to their original country where the first visa is issued.
